Have you heard of Cylaris diet pills and do they work?

I went against the grain and got some diet pills today. I had my mom read over them, and she picked the best one out of the 4 I was looking at. She picked out all the bad stuff and compared, yadda yadda.

I wound up with something called Cylaris. Supposedly I’m supposed to be able to lose up to 32 lbs. in 8 weeks. We’ll see how well that goes.

Along with the pills I bought Slim Fast (anti-calorie) drinks to replace my breakfast and lunch. I’ve been keeping a pretty consistent role of drinking 4 cups of Wu-Long Tea everyday, and still continue to go to the gym for an hour or so. Now I need to cut back on the coffee and Taco Bell.

Any Input on this? If you’ve ever heard of Cylaris and know of any massive or fatal side-effects, please let me know ASAP. I still go to Hawaii here in a few weeks, which means I’m not planning on eating much period.

Thanks a lot. :]

I started taking Cylaris diet pills in the very beginning of March. I forgot to weigh myself before taking them, but on March 12th I weighed 147lbs… now, I could have weighed more before taking them, Im not sure. Then I weighed myself on March 18th and was 143lbs, so I lost 4 pounds in one week!! I just weighed myself yesterday March 26th and weigh 139lbs! So I lost another 4 pounds! I only take 2 a day… I wasnt sure what the side affects would be if I took anymore than that… and so far 2 a day is working just great. I also exercise atleast 3 times a week.. just doing regular work outs in my living room… oh and chasing my daughter around! LOL! I sort of eat healthy, although not always sticking to it… but other than that, its working great! Or alteast I think it is.. I never even wanted to take diet pills, but I am so desperate just to lose 20lbs and get back to my pre-pregnanct body :S … well, I wish anyone the best of luck when it comes to losing weight! Its not always the easiest, but everything takes time in life :) But yes, Cylaris does work and I am so thrilled because now I know I didnt waste my money LOL! Bye for now.

After 9 weeks of only eating healthy and getting a lot of exercise (1 and a half hours or more per day of stationary cycling) and then one my energy levels increased I began adding strength training 2 or more times per week and yet I wasn’t losing any weight. In the total of 9 weeks I only lost a little less than 5 pounds. Up until about 7 years ago, aerobic activity 2 times per week and strength training twice per week caused me to lose 1-2 pounds per week but not anymore. So I decided to try Cylaris. 24 hours after starting I suddenly dropped some weight, probably water retention. Then the weight came back again and the numbers on the scale have been up and down. I cut out caffiene because this product has caffiene in it and I don’t want too much caffiene. The night before last I had major insomnia but last night I took something to help me sleep and woke up refreshed. I have only been on Cylaris for 3 days so it is too early to tell whether it will work for me yet. I can post again when I’ve been on it longer. Sometimes it does make me feel a little ill but if I have a healthy snack it helps. My concern is that if the caffiene effects me so much during the first 3 days and it wants us to double the dosage beginning on the 4th day, I’m wondering how that will effect me. Maybe I should wait until I am more used to it before increasing the amount. My normal body weight is only 105-110 so I am normally a small person and have a small frame but I am currently at 158 so I need to lose weight. We had two deaths in my family and I had just felt so bad and just lost my will to live and although I had some weight to lose I just quit caring. I wasn’t eating too much but just something in my system caused my body to start gaining weight and not wanting to let go of it when I eat healthy and exercise. I have gained more will to live and be healthy and so I am doing everything I know to do that has worked in the past but it doesn’t work now. I’m hoping Cylaris will help even if I don’t use it for losing all the weight but just to get some weight off and maybe then go off of it and maybe eating healthy and exercise will begin to work on their own again. I don’t know what changed in me, maybe my metabolism is really messed up but I don’t know why that would happen. Can complicated grief cause metabolic changes in a person? I noticed the change in the ability to lose weight back in early 2002 but then with the complicated grief and depression my doctor put me on Lexapro which can cause weight gain. Once I gained about 30-35 pounds on it I went off of it and my weight stabilized and I wasn’t gaining anymore but I couldn’t get it off either. Then two years later my weight just suddenly headed back up for another 30 pounds within a short time and so I need to do something to get rid of the weight and I’ve been exercising so much without hardly any results so I kept increasing my exercise but now exercise ended up being almost a full-time job and it isn’t working. I am at my wits end. I’m not normally a diet pill person but I thought maybe it could give me enough of an edge to lose 10-20 pounds even if it took another 2-3 months to do it but it would be progress though. At this point after losing almost 5 pounds my weight just hit a sticking point and won’t budge. Again, I only just started strength training and most of this time has been aerobic exercise so I understand that I could have gained weight in the form of muscle but the fat isn’t budging because I took measurements before starting and know what clothes fit and what clothes don’t and I took my measurements again and they are the same. So maybe I haven’t lost any fat yet and only lost water retention. I was feeling like quitting but decided on Cylaris and that will at least keep me exercising and eating healthy for three and a half more weeks if nothing else.

just to let you know slim fast isn’t a good idea I’ve done the slim fast and ended up gaining wait and couldn’t understand well doctor told me it has way to much sugar 33g per can or 8 oz be careful !

Answer #4

You don’t need to take diet pills. First of all, they are expensive. Second of all, they don’t work long-term. Third of all, they can give you what is called ‘posterior leakage.’ That’s where your butt leaks liquid crap into your pants.

People were fit before diet pills, therefore you do not need diet pills to lose 20 pounds.

All you have to do is cardio. Run, jog, swim, jump rope. Do 30 minutes of one of those every day, and if you want increase the 30 minutes to an hour a day after one month.

Have a sound nutritional plan. Stay away from candy, chips, alcohol, pop and anything that is high in sugar and/or trans fats.

The way to lose weight is to make sure that you are burning more calories per day than you are eating. That’s it. That’s the one and only secret. There are lots of calorie-tracker programs on the internet. Here is one:

http://www.fitday.com/

You can also track your exercise with that as well. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Answer #9

Diet pills are supposed to be used in conjunction with a sensible diet and exercise. So start eating healthy and exercise! Most people need to do that in the first place. Diet pills are supposed to be a supplement to diet and exercise, to help you burn more fat when you are actually burning it.

Answer #10

I was looking to see if there is any side effects of this pill as well. I started taking it 3 days ago. I am getting married in Hawaii in July and want to lose the rest of my baby weight. If I hear of anything I will comment back.

Hi

Even though I don’t exercise due to back surgery I do highly recommend it. Remember there are still many toxins in our digestive system that have accumilated throughout the years there is a 21 day product out that can help you. My husband took it and lost 8 lbs the first month.

I’m 41 years old have 5 kids and ready to move on as far as my weight goes.

My highest has been 279lbs. I had a couple of surgerys One of them prevents me from doing exercise which is the back disc fusion. Yet I’m losing the weight naturally and healthy.

My son is currently almost 300lbs and I am coaching him on his weight loss, he’s 16yrs old. I don’t know how old you are but no matter what start now do it for your health and for your future.

(2lbs per week, Healthy weight loss, no starving)

I know how it is to be the fatso and the ugly duckling but I also know what it is to lose weight and get the attention so hopefully you will contact me.

I am currently trying to lose 100 lbs so far I have lost 8lbs on my first month and 1/2 inch from my waist, no starving required. When it comes to losing weight it’s extremely difficult, but it can be done.

You need to start with determination, discipline and really want it.

Remember also many years of the abuse given to our digestive system counts. there is a 21 day cleansing program with what I am currently using that helps. esp. those last few pounds are the hardest. I say few because I have 100+ to go.

I truely believe that every pound counts so I know that those twenty lbs are really bothering you.

My father is a 68yrs old and has run 20+ marathons all of them 26+ miles he had about 10lbs to lose and couldn’t for many years. Believe me he is a healthy man, but couldn;t get rid of those last few and he lost them within 2mths. My mom one of the worlds most stubborn women has changed her eating habits and lost 9lbs the first month she’s 61yrs old and my brother lost 13;bs the first month he used the 21 day we have a whole list of people in our family alone losing it. Using these products

I’m giving you these websites for you to get more info : myspacecom/herbalrus (please read the blogs) and on herbalnutrition.net/jemmvli you can get more info on your health.

Remember there are many people offering you many products but I myself am a living testimony and I am also tired of my overweight issue I’ve battled with it all my life. Don’t take other peoples word for it do it yourself.

I currently don;t have pics of me posted due to the embarrasment of how I look and anybody with a weight issue knows that taking pics is not a fun thing to do. But I will post them as soon as I feel I can dig up the courage to take the after pic. I do have the before pic. hope to hear from you.

I’m not trying to sell a product I’m trying to help people that are ready and really need to change their lifestyle around. You have to willing and determined. It’s not easy and there is no magical button we can press to help us but I’m here if you need me. Jemmvli .

Cylaris is sold as a nutritional supliment. Something you need to understand is that when something is sold as a drug the company has to produce evidence that it is effective and safe. When a product is sold as a supliment it stays on the market until it is proven to be unsafe.

Products like this big doses of stimulents. Back before it was outlawed ephedra was popular but too many people died from those products so now the main ingredient is caffeine. Cylaris is basically a caffeine pill with B vitamines and a few other things that probably won’t help. Caffeine itself can reduce hunger pangs and increase your energy level when you feel draggy from dieting but I doubt your pills will work any better than drinking a cup of coffee or drinking a diet Coke or Mountain Dew.

Answer #18

no they do not I’ve tried them!!!

Answer #19

CYLARIS DOES WORK ! only if you exersize of course… I’ve tried it for the very first time and it was amazing. No lie, it was fantastic. I was 168 pounds and now im 150 pounds and that all happend in a month and I lost 18pounds. The secert to it is to keep on exersising and eating healthy, if you don’t then nothing will happen.

Answer #20

I have been taking cylaris diet pills for the past 6 days now and have lost 10 lbs so far. However, I’ve also been following the eating plan that comes with the pills. I’ve also been excersising daily 30 - 1hr of walking and drinking about 64 ounces of water daily. In my opinion the diet pills, food plan and walking is perfect way to lose weight, cylaris does work. The food consist of fat, carbs, fruit, veggies, and dairy. I would say 15% is fat based, 20% dairy, 40% carbs and 25%protien. The food you get to eat are pasta, chicken, fish, fat free milk, salad with low fat ranch or low fat italian ect., wheat bread, brown rice, blt’s, yogurt, waffles, roast beef sandwiches, oatmeal, eggs and toast, pears, apples ect.,almonds, smoothies home made, orange juice, cookies, filet mignon, granola bar, carrots with fat free ranch, baked patato with salsa ect. these are a few things you can eat on this diet. you eat 5 times a day, 3 meals and 2 snacks. It takes a while to get use to eating like this, the first few days you hungry but stick with it and you’ll lose wt and notice a difference in your body. Like I said I’ve lost 10 lbs in 6 days and I notice a difference in my stomach and my face but you have to be devoted and stick with it and don’t cheat, and stay active. without the diet and activity the pill wouldn’t work. The diet pill just enhances the wt loss. I have not excercised for a long time or eaten right for a while. So this product put me back on track to a healthier way of living. I hope this information helped. Oh by the way I followed the dirrection to the T. took 1 pill Bid (twice a day) for 3 days then 2 pills twice a day following the 3rd day.

Answer #21

I’m trying to lose a total of 59 pounds and after running myself ragged with exercise every day and eating only healthy foods and keeping at 1500 calories per day (my normal body weight is 105, I am normally a small person) and it took a long time just to get 8 pounds off and then I gained back 1.4 pounds and nothing is working. Some people cannot exercise and eat properly and lose weight. I used to be able to but ever since I was put on Lexapro for depression I gained weight rapidly and when I went off of Lexapro because of the weight gain, it did not go away and still won’t. I was on Lexapro from July 2004 until about May 2005 and during that time I got fat and since that time the weight won’t budge. I used to be able to lose 1-2 pounds per week if I gained weight and decided to lose the weight. I didn’t have such a weight issue until the Lexapro. I think Lexapro should be called the permanent weight gain pill. If a pill caused the problem and diet and exercise won’t take it off, what the hell am I supposed to do? I could kill myself, then I’ll decompose. I think Lexapro and other drugs like it should be taken off the market. Lexapro ruined my life. I can’t do step aerobics like I used to because my weight is so hard on my knees and I have knee issues. I got a stationary bike and was riding it 45 minutes to 3 hours per day. After 4 months of all that exercise and keeping my caloric intake at 1500 per day, I only lost a total of 6 pounds. I had lost 8 but gained back and I can’t lose anymore. I don’t know why the weight won’t go away. I never had this much trouble with weight before the Lexapro. The person who invented Lexapro should be shot.

Answer #22

I have taken many diet pills in the past and have sold them for a long time as well. I sold pills for a large company that prided itself in safety…to make a long story short, I have been educated heavily on the herb topic and can tell you a few things I am certain of. If you have high blood pressure, or take medications you SHOULD get your dr. to look at what you want to take. However, keep in mind that MOST dr.’s do not like herbs and will encourage you to “diet and exercise” which we all know is bull. If we could all be so lucky to just “diet and exercise”, obesity would not be an epidemic! I can tell you that on 2 seperate occasions, by 2 different dr’s I was prescribed Meridia, which made me sick, I lost weight but was dizzy and lightheaded the whole time. I took ephedra for years, I lost 50 lbs in 3 months and never had a side effect. People who suffer from ephedra were taking high doses, coupled with caffeine. That is dangerous. But like ANYTHING ELSE, when you ABUSE ANYTHING it will hurt you. People don’t see that, they only see “Someone croaked on ephedra”. The details matter! Like someone did not eat for 3 days, took more than they were supposed to and combined caffeine with it. I just purchased Cylaris and cannot wait to try it, it sounds like something I sold before FDA banned ephedra! By the way the FDA approved phen phen back in the day so watch how much stock you put into them. Besides that, what I can tell you is read your labels and directions, eat before you take it to avoid getting jittery and drink lots of water. If you feel bad STOP TAKING THE PILLS.

Answer #23

Be careful with the Cylaris. If anyone notices changes in your personality. My husband is a very ‘reasonable’ man. However, He overeacted to EVERYTHING while taking this weight-loss medicine and even charged an old lady for cutting in front of him in a parking lot. He scared me to death and I thought he was going to hit her or her twenty-something son. That is not like him at all. His hands were positively shaking from that weight-loss pill. I JUST this second got on the internet to see if I could find out if a similar ‘altered personality-rage event’ had happened to anyone else taking Cylaris. Maybe it was just him.. however,.. the fine hairs on my neck stood up when I saw him act that way.. it was like he was someone else. He took the Cylaris and had had a single cup of coffee.. and that was enough to make him ballistic. - Take care!!

Answer #24
