Is it possible to be allergic to a school's water system?

I ask because every time I drink from my schools’ water fountains, I feel very sick and it kind of gives me issues with breathing. I drank some water during 5th period, but nothing happened, BUT I think it took it’s toll cause part of my throat is hurting as we speak.

It is possible that you might be allergic to a certain mineral in your schools drinking water since tap water which is found everywhere is mineral water. i’d compare the drinking water at home from the sink to school but you should try asking a doctor or something if you have a minor allergic reaction to the minerals in the water, anyways water is different around the united states based on the mineral content like water in the ohio region may taste fresher than than the water in colorado because it contains more calcium or phosphorus really crapppy water tastes like sulfur but yeah talk to your doctor

oh yeah also if it was an allergic reation your throat might have closed up and you couldve died but lets not dwell on that its probably something else

WOW You must have studied hard in school. I actually had to sleep the sickness off in class cause it hurt that bad. I need to start bringing my own water.
