who is actually going to use algerbra in life?

( unless your gonna be a maths teacher)

Answer #1

haha not me, i don’t see the point in graphing and plotting. the only reason they teach it to me is because of the pointless, and down right stupid test known as, the HSA

Answer #2

Architects use algebra -Hope this helps :)

Answer #3

algebra you use alot dont blow it off it is the most important math class you will ever have.

Answer #4

what like simultanious equations who gets that? ive got 2 pages of a textbook just of that to do for homework. it fails.

Answer #5

ino, so i’ve been told. i still think it sucks, lol

Answer #6

haha yeah well its life, haha but yeah algebra is easy, its not hard its just straight forward.

Answer #7

its too much like problem solving, i guess some people find it hard and others find it easy… argggh! now i need a maths tutor.

Answer #8

haha just chill haha it is easy when you do not stress about it. basic formula to algebra is what you do one side you do on the other. simple. or just get the variable by itself easy also you just have to get everything to 1 side

Answer #9

After WWII they started implementing the hardcore math and science into the school curriculums so that average joes could be fairly versed in both and would then be at the disposal of the US military, rather than only having a handful of people like Albert Einstein who knew any of it, which was the situation they found themselves in during WWII. Basically, knowledge is power.

Answer #10

Learn math noob.

Answer #11

Well apparently you need english lessons as well… And simultaneous equations are really not that complicated. You either subtract or add the equations to get an answer, or you replace. I really havent met too many people who’ve had issues with this.

Answer #12

Well given that algebra is helpful to do things like basic accounting, pretty much everyone could do with it. Mathematics rarely does anyone any harm. And many people actually use math in their careers even though it doesnt seem like it (doctors, nurses, psychologists, pharmacists, engineers, vets…). Ranting about it isnt going to do much good. Deal with it. Apparently math is important enough that all these people agreed that it should be part of a school curriculum. Perhaps they figured they knew better than a 14 year old.

Answer #13

nobody. algebra is completely pointless and a huge waste of time in life.

Answer #14

Let’s see.

For example

Engineers Accountants (We use it often including simultaneous equations) Medical Students use it (for example anestesia) Financial Managers Marketing Statistics etc.

Also Algebra teaches you LOGIC, you know the whole A = B, B = C thus A = C thing?

So you will use it if you go in these directions plus COUNTLESS others

Answer #15

Graphing and plotting is useful when you do linear programming in marketing, management and accouting. Not as pointless as it seems.

Answer #16

No it isn’t. We use it in accounting on a daily basis, so does engineering, medicine etc. All the big paying professions uses Algebra to determine what they need to know.

Answer #17

yeah hun if you actually thing algebra is pointless nd a waste of time, haha i can only wonder what kind of career you are going to get. because every career that you have to grow through college requires algebra. i wonder y? i would think because we use it in every day life.

Answer #18

Anyone who wants to anything involving any kind of science for one thing. I use it daily for calculating concentration of solutions and working out cell concentration etc.

Answer #19

belive it or not we use it everyday. its hard to belive trust me! im barely in 9th grade but soo far ive notice i use it everyday. specially if you have advance classes and a good job.. forensics uses math all the time and i guess they brain washed meee?

Answer #20

Just simulates the mind.

Answer #21

When you are lost in the country and an old guy give you the directions: OK, now what you gotta do is go down the road past the old Johnson place. You’re gonna find two roads, one parallel and one perpendicular. Now keep going until you come to a highway that bisects it at a 45-degree angle. Solve for x.

Family guy :)

Answer #22

It is the problem solving skills that derive from Algebra that will help you later in life.

Answer #23

it all depends on your job i guess. if youre an accountant or something like that, then you probably will.
