Can some one help me with distributive property? I do not know how to solve a problem that starts with a fraction.

Answer #1

Um, Persiandawg, where did you find the variable ‘x’??

Distributive property is: a (b + c) = (ab + ac) So if your equation is (one third) times the quantity 12 plus 6r — then it reduces to 12/3 + 6r/3 then either reduce it further or leave as is

Answer #2

ok I just took algebra 1 and I knew distrubitive way before that. but here I go:

ok so say its 2/3(24+18x) so basically think of this, 2/3 multipied bye 24/1 (its the same) is 48/3, then reduce that is 16, so next 2/3 multiplied by 18/1 x is 36/3 x which is 12x so it turns out to be 16+12x. hope this helped.

Answer #3

Use a form of the distributive property to rewrite this algebraic expression without parantheses: 1

  • (12+6r) 3
Answer #4

give me the problem… w/ solution please… I’ll try my best..
