Should I tell my best friend she's going to be dumped?

Okay Well my friend has been dating this boy for about a year now, and she lost her virginity to him. I found out a couple days that at the end of summer before her boyfriend goes away to college he is dumping her. She has no idea.. she just told me she wants to be with him forever. Seems like since she lost her virginity she has fallen hard for him, almost to hard. Well Im her best friend what should I do? Should I tell her? If so how? She is about to go to the beach with him and her mom and I don’t want to ruin that. Let me know!!

Let her boyfriend tell her. It’s between them, stay out of it.

Let her boyfriend tell her. If he changes his mind you could end up completely ruining their relationship. I know it’s hard to sit back and watch when you know he’s going to dump her but you just need to stay out of it. You don’t want to get the blame for their relationship ending! x

Dear amy_lynn, Yes, mention to her that you had heard some rumors about this. Tell her it breaks your heart to have to tell her what you heard but no she needs to talk with her boyfriend. This may open up the dialog between them. If he is planning it then you may have save a little bit of dignity for her and if it is no…then tell her how glad you are it was only a rumor and that her happiness is what is important to you. This is a case of “err on the side of caution” If it is only a rumor no harm…if it isn’t she will be glad she found out sooner than later. Sue…good luck
