What is an adverb?
It’s a descriptive word…for example: “He walks.” (no adverb) “He walks quickly.” (‘quickly’ is the adverb)
How does it differ from an adjective? I’m having a lot of trouble trying separate an adverb from an adjective
Well, an adverb is used to modify an adjective or a verb, whereas an adjective modifies a noun or a pronoun” “My friend likes to sew wildly crazy quilts.” …”wildly”, as the adverb, describes the adjective “crazy”.
An Adverb simply indicates time or place or any cause . It just answer question like how ,when, where… It can also modify verb or phrase… …
And just about all of them end in “ly”
A word or phrase that modifies or qualifies an adjective, verb, or other adverb.
