The most common cause of a bump on the tongue is fibroma which is a bump formed by fibrous tissues caused by trauma to the tongue like biting on it by accident. Another could be continuous friction by your teeth on your tongue. They can also just be an inflamed taste bud that swells up. Another reason could be cancer. Bumps on the tongue can be serious or they can be nothing. Of course, no one can diagnose you except for your dentist or your doctor, if you are concerned go book an appointment. It’s always better to be safe than sorry later.
