Okay so I took a test && this is what it said

Your ADD Test Results IMPORTANT: This is not a tool for self-diagnosis. Its purpose is simply to help you determine whether ADD may be a factor in the behavior of the person you are assessing using this checklist. An actual diagnosis can be made only by an experienced professional. If you need a referral to such a professional, choose this option at the end of the sub-type test below.

Dr. Amen suggests: “More than 20 items with a score of three or more indicates a strong tendency toward ADD. Your total number of items with a score above three is 67.

Based on this calculation, you HAVE a strong tendency toward ADD.

According to Dr. Amen, once you know if you or a loved one has ADD, it is critical to know which type you have. ADD is not one thing and, therefore, one treatment does not fit everyone.

I got interested in ADD when at my last job I found out that two of my employees had this disorder. My preconceived notion was that ADD was like what teachers called hyperactivity when I was a kid. One of the guys working for me was extremely intelligent and a PhD candidate. Getting curious I started to read about ADD. After going through several books I noticed that not only did the symptoms fit me, but they also fit everyone I knew who worked in my field (IS/IT). I’m not the only person who noticed this. One ADD researcher found such a high correlation between ADD and computer skills he suggested using a computer aptitude test as part of the diagnosis of this disorder..

You can get evaluated for ADD. If you have an offical diagnosis your school will probably be able to make accommodations to help you better learn. If you are already doing well than you might ask yourself it the diagnosis will really do anything for you. There is medication to help those with ADD and coaching sometimes helps people with ADD function in a non-ADD world. If you believe one or the other of these may help you than a diagnosis may be in order. If you are doing well in school and life than I don’t see the point of being evaluated.

I don’t view ADD as a disorder. I look at as a different personality type. Some things that are easy for most other people are hard for people with ADD. At the same time some things that are easy for people with ADD are hard for most people without. Sometimes it is hard for people with ADD to mesh with the non-ADD world but once they find their nitch they can do very well.

no one here could really tell you because those internet things that say things like that arnt exactly real they offer information about the things but you cant diagnose diseases over the internet just by answering some simple questions if you really want to find out, go to the doctor tell him/her that you think you might have add, tell them what kinds of syptoms you think you have or ask them if they can test you for any because there the only ones that can tell self diagnoses over the intenet can be harmful, if not fatal if you end up taking the wrong advice …its okay to search, but dont beleive everything you read take it into consideration but ask the real profesionals about it
