How to ignore stupid people at my school? (read more)

Lately I been having people whisper about me or say it out loud what they hate about me. Like this one girl who keeps saying I’m weird an mumbles other stuff under her breath but acts fake to my face like she likes me. Also some girls keep having smart comments about my clothes and how I talk which is annoying. It sometimes takes away my confidence for the whole day which makes it hard to talk to my crush. What should I do???? plz help

:\ I’ve never had anything like that happen to me. But maybe you should take what their saying and prove them wrong about it. Or make them look bad by turning their comments to you on them.

I used to have this problem since I was little and it grew worse to middle school, then decreased in high school. Most likely just ignore them and don’t let anyone get you down. They just have flaws and want to persue other people because they have nothing else better to do, or just how they were brought up. What grade are you specifically in? Some people grow away from bullying others when they mature older, usually this shows when they left you alone. Some just don’t take a hint, and think they can always get away from it. If these girls don’t let up and more importantly don’t feel embarrassed when you tell a counselor, they’ll take advantage of these students and call their parents on what their kids do nowadays. Or even you feel even more concerned talk to a counselor or your teachers after class and tell them how you feel.

The best thing is to find a balance: be polite, upbeat, and confidently self-assertive, with no aggression, belligerence, or hostility. Acting as confidently as you would like to feel will help you come to feel that confident over time.

“If you really like me and want me to know it so we can be friends, then stand up for me when you hear people put me down. If you don’t like me, there’s no need to pretend; I can handle it.”

To criticisms of your clothing and speech (“You dress so slutty/frumpy/last-year,” “You sound so country/foreign/college,” etc.), consider responding with a cheerful “Thank you!” {:^)

Answer #5

Don’t talk to them

Answer #6

Oh My GOSH! That happens to me everyday at school and sometimes out of school. I don’t back sass them (even though I REALLY want to!) but I make sure they don’t know I’m upset because if they know I’m weak then they will do it a lot. Don’t show them weakness and just play along and give them that smile that says, “yeah I know you’re talking about me and I JUST DON’T CARE!” I don’t go to teachers because they don’t do anything for me! It takes practice but it’s great in the long run! Keep trying!

Answer #7
