Is it okay for me, a high school sophomore, to go out with an eighth grader?

I really like this girl I’m a sophomore and she’s in eighth grade.

Would it be normal or ok for us to go out?

Answer #1

i think that there is nothing wrong with the pair of you going outyour having fun and there is not harm in that

Answer #2

how old are you guys?

Answer #3

its Absolutely fine. :) difference between the age is not a problem ;;) and theres nothing wrong wif that ^^

Answer #4

honestly, i believe its not socially acceptable. but if your parents and her parents are okay with it, then i guess it’ll be okay. i would never do that, but it all depends on personal preference. honestly, i think its too much of a maturity level “Gap”. i wouldn’t allow my little sister which is in eighth grade, date a sophomore. i would just have an issue with it.

Answer #5

It shouldn’t matter as long as your ok w it. And if you reply like him you wouldn’t care .

Answer #6

I personally wouldn’t like dating people younger than high school while in high school, but if it works for you, then do it! I think it’s kinda weird, not because of the age, but because of maturity. Once you get to high school, you mature in different ways than by just getting older. You go through a lot more stress that you don’t during elementary school or junior high, and that stress and how you handle it determines what kind of person, (adult), you will become. I already consider you a young adult, but I still consider her a child merely because of her lack of high school experiences. Nothing against her, of course, but that’s just how I think.

Answer #7

it wont matter. i think its fine to go out with her:)

Answer #8

That is perfectly normal. Age nor grade matters in a relationship. If the both of you are happy, then so it be. Nobody should tell you how to live your life or control who you date, its what matters to you. People may talk, but their opinion doesnt matter. Be happy :)

Answer #9

I don’t see a problem with it! Nobody’s breaking the law. You like who you like.

Answer #10

Well not really just how they say in lOve age is just a number
