-Yes, silence. I agree with that too. -And the sound of a car crash. Its so frightening -The sound when 2 or more people are quarrelling -The silence when you ask a doctor if everything is ok (agree with stevenoo)

so true… nothing is worse than this…life is so fragile Thanks mandyloo…I wouls also say…the silence when you are alone in the house after you heard a strange noise the silence from the doctor after you ask if anything can be done the silence from your partner when you ask if he /she still loves you

I also agree silence can be frightening. The silence of being alone in a strange place, guns going off, children screaming, cars reving up their engines, creaky doors opening and shutting, people breaking in, and, falling from high places. I also would feel the silence of a partner wondering if he loves me or not. Now, that’s pretty frightening.
