What is wrong with my computer?

when ever i turn it on, the screen suddenly fades and turns white. This has been going on for a long time already, whats causing this?

Answer #1

i think the RAM needs to reset. shut it down and let it rest for over night then try again in the morning. patience young grasshopper.

Answer #2

If your computer still has a warranty attached, and there’s a Best Buy near by with geek Squad, contact them. If they could fix my TV, I know they can fix your computer.

Answer #3

hehehe I barely use it now, but it still does that! Grasshopper?? Lol

Answer #4

I dnt have a warranty :(

Answer #5

OUCH! The best thing to do, like I did 3 times in a row, is PC Recovery. When doing that, turn it off, when your computers actual name shows, hit F10, it will take a while, so be patient. If you feel it’s a much bigger problem go to Start > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragment. That should help more.

Answer #6

as the computer is booting press the F8 key repeatedly. this will bring up the advanced boot options. now select the ‘safe mode’ boot. once your within windows do a virus scan. if you have no virus protection select [from the boot menu] ‘safe mode with networking’ and download free AVG and then do a scan.

if the screen is turning white before you can do this:

turn the monitor on and off rapidly very fast once. if the one time is a fail try a few time but must be done very fast. if it still fails unplug the monitor from the rig and plug it back in.

to be honest i think the 1st paragraph will sort it ;)
