Writting a rock song

I’m assuming you play and instrument if not not to worry but this would make it easier. Sit at/with your instrument and jam about perhaps if you play piano or guitar find a few chords you like and then sing over the top of them in different tunes and random words. Listen to your favourate artists for influence obviously dont copy them but break down their music into sections. You could just write lyrics first perhaps see them as a poem think of past experiences,dreams,emotions and try and put these down. These are just little tips, these things can take time. Good luck!

my dad works with that, & his songs get sold to artist in nashville and everything. you might want to be careful because a lot of people dont realize it.. but a good song is worth amillion dollars and people can take your copy rights with you not getting what you deserve.. I don’t know you need to be careful lol.. you probably dont get what im trying to say… butt yeah.

with writing it has to come from the heart, just sit down in a quiet room & put pen to paper & let out all your feelings & passions & it usually comes from there,

you either have the gift to write or you dont, but in saying that you can also do a creative writing cause to allow your giftings to come out!!

Just wait til’ you get the urdge to write and starrt writing. It seems like it wouldn’t work, but it really does. You can’t just start writing because you want to you got to wait until you’re feeling it and it’ll happen. Don’t expect to write a whole song either. A good song can talk days or weeks to write. =P Good Luck!

Well I also write music, I found the best way to beat writers block is think back on life experiences. Writing a good lyric takes time and concentration.
