Would Lojack be useful?

I have a Dell laptop computer with a fingerprint reader,Veriface recognition, and a normal password. I heard that Lojack is only able to trace a computer once the stealer gains internet access. With all my security devices on the computer, would it still be useful to get the Lojack software? Are there ways of getting around the security?

Answer #1

I am referring to the thief bypassing the passwords. Assuming I purchased the Lojack software, I would hope that the thief would be able to get into the passwords and access the internet so I could have the laptop returned to me. If not, then I would be wasting my money purchasing the software. So, I am wondering if the computer can be traced even with passwords on it.
