would a nose stud greatly affect my job prospects?

I really want to get my nose pierced, but I am worried that it would hinder my job prospects. I am not allowed to get it done until I move out. Do you still think I should go for it when I am out on my own or just forget it? Also, is the hole noticeable or not?

No mean comments please.

Answer #1

Yes

Answer #2

Yes the hole will be noticable. There are a lot of places that will not hire people with facial peircings. Fast food allows them though.

My nose is pierced. I am a teacher and have to take it out for work, but about an hour after taking it out, you would never know I had one unless you were looking for it. However, you can’t take it out until you have had the piercing for a good 3 or more months or else you risk it growing up. I have had several jobs that allowed it. I worked in a day care that didn’t mind it, and I also worked for some oil brokers. My friend works for a real estate company and they don’t care. A small stud sometimes won’t even be noticed at first. Get it before you ever plan on getting a job so that you can take it out on interviews and ask if it is allowed. It’s small and not a big deal. If you ever want it to grow up, the scar will be very small and easily covered by makeup. Hope this was helpful!
