Worst nickname growing up?

In 8th grade basketball, I got the nickname “ghost” because I was incredibly pale…really, really pale. Like, I’d light up a room kind of pale. It irritated me a bit, but I’ve mostly forgotten (8th grade was a long time ago, after all ;) ).

When you were growing up, did you have a nickname you can laugh about now, but that upset you at the time? If so, mind sharing :)

Mine was Shacka…I guess when I started talking I would pronounce my name(Jessica) as Sha shacka. So that’s what my whole family started calling me. My mom, gram and aunt still do it to this day! lol It made me mad when I was younger, now I think it’s a cute story!

Answer #11

The only one I truly hated, was the feminized version of my name. I have one of those names with only a subtle nuance between the male and female versions.

toadaly is the male version, and toadily is the female version.

Answer #12

‘Noodle brain’- it stemmed from my baby nickname ‘Noddy’ (I used to nod all the time), and my parents used it once in front of a school friend, and sure enough, she told my whole class. Quite a derivation from future nicknames like ‘dictionary’, ‘encyclopedia’, and ‘lexicon’.

Answer #13

Middle School they started calling me f*head, I was sort of the class clown in those days, never bothered me so much as I thought it was hilarious that teachers started calling me that.
