How can I not get fat with this bad food in the house?

I dont know if this is the right place to put this question but I decided to anyway, im starting to get fat, and its not really my fault all my mum buys into the house is crisps, buns, microwave burgers, biscuits and just a lot of fatting foods, I’ve asked her to buy healthy food and she says she will but then never does, and when I go to make myself food their is nothing healthy to make, I would buy my own food but im in collage all day and have lots of work to do so I dont have the time, or the money. do any of you have any suggestions? because I really dont want to get any fatter!

Hi! Well I kinda face the same problem myself. My mom makes awesome cakes n gets all sorts of fatty stuff home for me and my bro. But its upto u to be determined enough not to indulge in them. When I’m home (I stay in hostel btw), I have somethin light in the mornin-say plain milk and bread. For lunch I generally make a sandwich for myself-lettuce, cucumber, tomato-the works..And night I have a proper non-fatty meal (mayb chapathi n somethin or rice n dal). Plus I go to the gym as well. Do some aerobics. You have to make sure that u eat enough health things and whenever ur hungry have some fruit or somethin. I know its difficult-trust me. It aint easy eatin a measly sandwich when my bro is havin some chocolate mousse or somethin! But by the time I come back to college, I realise that not only do i lose weight but I also look a lot healthier! Anyway, hope u dont cut down on food drastically. The key is to eat healthy.

Getting used to take care of your own healthy food supply is better than worrying about getting fatter or waiting for mom to mind your needs….:)

try making a lsit of foods you want. give the list to your mom along with some money the next time she goes grocery shoping.
