Is world peace just a dream or wish?

world peace? no such thing… someone, somewhere will always want more than they’ve got… and that starts off wars…

It did exist many years ago…so it is a reality. It’s a dream or wish to create it again, but one day it will return…with or without us.

Yes - People have so much difference in opinion, world peace will never exist because there are always people who are mad about something. It sucks but there’s not a lot we can do except be happy ourselves.

I think so. Many people just think that wars and all that is peace. There will be nuckle heads out there that just won’t stop thinking about violence and world wars. Most people wish for world peace, but it may never happen…

In 1900, many people thought the 20th century was going to be the most peaceful in world history. Yeah…

World peace is a pipe dream, but in our life time, there have been many historic conflicts which have come to an end. For example, this is the first time in history there has been such a low risk of war between the French and the Germans. I live right on the border of France and Germany, and it’s never been safer to live here than it is right now.

It depends on how you define world peace. No more wars? Not in out lifetime, or our great great grandkids either. I think the human race will get to a point that war and violence is found to be intolerable, but that is centuries away. We have become more civil as knowledge and technology has advanced. But there will be many bumps in the road, and many along the way who will cling to and exploit the more base and violent aspects of human nature (like the neocons today). But those influences will wane over time. At least I hope they will.

I wish peace was real but it seems a dream

its just a dream

but things can improve. the most important thing is tolerance. respect for differing opinions. it may not eradicate violence completely, but its the surest way to reducing it
