how much would i make if i worked at an animal shelter

Most people who work at animal shelters are volunteers and do not get paid, they work there because they care about the welfare of the animals. I do believe animal behaviourists do get paid, depending on how experience they are they can get paid anywhere from AU$50,000 to AU$60,000. As most animal shelters are non-profit organisation and rely on heavily on self funding and financial support from the general public to keep the “business” alive, you will find staff are not paid above the average wage. Another paying job at the animal shelter would be a vet but you will need a university degree but these vets do no work for only one animal shelters, they work for numerous animal shelters otherwise their pay isn’t so great.
