Women joining the US Marine Corps...

If you wish to join the military, then do it. Nothing as satisfying, nothing more irritating.

The military can spawn a love-hate relationship with people. If you are a hard worker, are reliable, can think fast on your feet, then the military is for you. If you’re a shirker, and/or not reliable then the military is NOT for you.

In short, like most things in life, you’ll get out of it what you put in.

do it for me, I want to but cant. I have 5 friends in the marines…there all guys and have no problem with women joining.

look at bio-mechanics. the female body is roughly 20% weaker than the male body. that means it will be 20% harder 4 you to go through basic training

Not the Marines!!! You will regret the way they treat women. They are still very old fashioned in the way they look at Women. Like you are messing with the boys only club. Women Marines are looked at by other men around the base where you will be stationed at as emotionally troubled.

I am a guy and a former Marine and women are not respected in the Marines by Men. They will see you the whole time as you trying to prove something. Do not ask a recruiter either!!!.

Ask other women Marines and ask a lot. I still live 8 miles from Camp Lejeune, fun mail me and I will send you a link to a website where a bunch of Marines, males and females and their families hang out. Maybe they can offer you a different perspective from people that have gone thru it.

Why not? Since existence is essentially meaningless it doesnt’ matter what you do as long you are living. Astronaut, street sweeper, corps, whatever.

The reason I am asking is because yes, I want to enlist into the Marine Corps. I would have already enlisted there is just one thing holding me back. And come December I will know or not if I will be.

Not paricularly interesting, after all many thousands of women from the Soviet Union perished in the most gruelling battles of WWII between Germany and The Soviets. So women joining marine corps in this day and age is no big deal.
