Will my period start soon?
Ok, I am 13, and wondering why my period hasn’t started. I know that some people have it as late as 19, but I thought thats usually if you have had an eating disorder or your body is under some other similar stress. I have all the “signs” - mood swings, depression, breast development, pubic hairs, vaginal discharge, aching breasts - and yet I haven’t started yet. Might I start soon? XXX
You don’t need to worry I promise, I only started my first period when I was 16 and there is nothing wrong with me. By the symptoms you are describing it sounds like your period is going to start very soon so just hang in there and don’t worry about it. Girls are only usually referred to the doctor if they haven’t started their period by the age of 17, you still got plenty of time. Take care.
