I have a female betta fish, that is approx...4-6 months old, she is in healthy condition, and is an active swimming fish. My fish has a small tail (or fin). I was wondering if my fish's tail will ever grow out, and be long and flowy like the picture I have added.
yes it is the Males that have the longer fins and brighter colours in this species so no the tail fin on the female will not grow out much. If you ever want to add a male I think you have to have 3 females to 1 male to prevent to much harassment
Most females have shorter tails and are less colorful. Males are the ones with the long colorful tails.
Sorry, but I dont think it will, only male bettas have a long tail, and that is to attract females
