Wicked the musical

I feel I also have to add a few things, looking at my answer…

if you are a big fan of the book, then you’re going to be disappointed with the show…because the show isn’t anything like the book…

The music is outstanding…I don’t think I was ever bored at any point watching the show…

it’s one of the few shows I cried during…it takes a lot to get the tear ducts working for me, cause I’m pretty good at separating myself from it all while watching a play…however this show sucked me in right away…

lastly…you have to judge it for yourself…if you like seeing stories told from a odd point of veiw, out of this world costumes and fantastic vocals then its the play for you…if you enjoy more grounded shows, then you might not like this play…

I went into the show thinking I was going to be bored out of my mind, despite the rave reveiws I read about it…I’m not a person easily swayed…but this show picked me up and swept me right along for the ride…and by the end of it I was cheering and screaming and crying all at once…

Every single guy I went with, including my boyfriend, his father, two of my younger male cousins and our uncle stood up and were cheering and had wet eyes after it too…so it’s not as: atthisvelocity suggests; a play that only fangirls like.

it is a truly moving show.

but you be the judge. go watch it. listen to “Defying Gravity” and “For Good.” if you’re not moved by it, then maybe its not the play for you…

sorry if this is long, but Wicked is one of the few, very few plays I’m passionate about…
