Why wont he ask me out! How can I help him?

I have this guy friend, I like him a lot, and im 99.99% sure he likes me back, hes a year older than, I 14, him 15, we met about 15 months ago, when I started a karate class, and have had a huge crush on him ever since, I’ve seen so manythings that tells me he likes me, this year we started going to school together and its nice because I see him all the time, hes a sophmore and im a freshman, we still the best of friends, and glance at eachother when ever we can, but through all this, I dont understand why he hasnt said anything, or why he hasnt asked me out yet, im old fashioned and think the guy should make the first move, but im not sure if or when he will, he puts off a tough front, he walks and talks and act tough (in a good way, not a cocky way) and its convincing, people are somewut afraid of him, and they know hes tough, but hes not rock solid, hes a totally softie, very emotional, deep person, definatly not what he portays…I dont know what to do! Hes shy, I want him to ask me out, I know he wants to he just needs to work up the courage, how can I help him along (the whole thing is he doesnt know that I know he likes me) so I want to help in a secret, hidden way that he can pick up on, but that doesnt involve much emotional confrontmant (like sitting and having an open conversation, I know what he’ll d) I want him to see, im here, I like him, im ready…so my question is…what can I do to help!? Help!!!
