Why won't she answer my calls?

I’m in love with my best friend and I’m moving away in 3 weeks for a new job I got that’s on the other side of the country. She threw a going away party for me and invited a lot of our friends and family. When I gave my speech at the end of the nite I got down and proposed to her. She joked with everyone that I had too much to drink but that wasn’t true I meant every word. We have been best friends since we were lil kids I can’t live without this girl I love her so much and she knows this but she says she doesn’t believe in love…now she won’t answer my calls…I know I’ve hurt her and scared her… what can I do?

Whoah… first off, I’m sorry that this happened. Love is a scary thing. It is for a lot of people. If you want my honest opinion. There isn’t anything you really can do. You didn’t do anything wrong. She is most likely scared. It is something she has to come to grips herself. All you can do is be there when/if she comes around. The ball is in her court. Good luck

maybe shes not ready for your relationship to change. tell her that your sorry and that you would still love to be friends. tell her they you would love to be more then that because you love her so much, but it would hurt so much to lose her completely that you would still want her to be your best friend. dont presure her. if you dont want to lose her then tell her you’d still want her as a friend. maybe shes upset because your moving away it is possible that she has the same feelings. ask her if she would want to come live with you.

I think she is scared to take the risk. She probably does not want to jeopardize the relationship you two already have together. She also might be scared to commit to someone.
