Why did he slip away from me?

How come he did this to me? He told me he loved me and then he just slipped away. He was all mine for 5 great months then he just slipped away.. He just told me that he was soo soo sorry but it has to happen. I said why he said because… But when he said he wanted to be with me forever and ever and he would be there for me no matter what and that he would do anything for me and that he would pick me up in the poring rain and take me home and dry me off…and…HE LOVED ME…it thought he ment it.

But why would he just leave me like that he could have said more then just a because..couldnt have he?
