Why was I sidelined at my own party?

I had my birthday party yesterday and everyone who I invited came which I was so thrilled about because I didnt expect them to. There was only 12 of us as it was a themed party. Everyone seemed to enjoy it but I was ignored the majority of the time. We sat down to eat and I was shoved into the corner and I was left out of all of the gossip and conversations. I’m a bit down right now, has anyone got any words to make me feel a bit better?

I don’t think the people you invited were your real friends. they sound more like freeloaders. if it is your party they should be trying to make you feel more special. also, if you are not included in the gossip simply force yourself in. since they are at your party they don’t have the right to object.

Im srry to hear that!! perhaps you just didnt have enough activities or games going on to have the people at your party occupied, so it got them bored and sidetracked. as soukidan has said, next time just put yourself into the conversation!! just leap yourself into the comotion!! (;

as for right now… theres no need to mope... what happened, happened. its in the past. let it go and get off that bum and do something you enjoy!!
