Why should teens stop sexting ?

I agree wit some points but:

1. you culd ruin your choices for jobs or careers
2. Rumors could emotionally damage you
3. Kids could sue for emotional discomfort
4. It is a bit unnapropriate although I do get your ideas. Mostly people don’t wanna get sued

I feel the same way, I look at it tho if a teen has a phone they no right from wrong, and what do people think, you give a phone to a kid with a camera in it what do they think could happen you no. I don’t know its bullshit tho. it should be legal as long as it isnt being sent to like a 30 yr old haha

Eh, I actually agree with you on some points. I don’t think it should be illegal though, if you send nudes you pretty much are taking a chance of ruining your future… But I don’t know it is a better option too STD’s and pregnancy.. But their’s also a better chance of other people seeing you which isn’t really what you want. I think maybe when you’re over 18 you shouldn’t be able to do it anymore. A teacher from my school was actually caught sexting with a student… Sooo I don’t know about that.

I never really understood what was illegal. I once KGBed it and it said that any talk or pictures involving or relating to sex for someone under 18 was illegal. I think that is stupid, but I do believe it should be illegal to send nudes. However, I think talking about sex or having sex through text is find. The govement believe this will lead to more minors having sex, but I believe it actually helps prevent it. For example, if a couple is sexting (without nudes) then they will decrease their sexual urges because they will be satisfied by the texts. This, however, may back fire and give an oppisite effect and make them want to try what they expressed in the game. So, I guess it makes sense why they made all of it illegal. The funny thing is that it isn’t illegal for two minors to have sex, but it is illegal for two minors to “sext”.
