Why is this happening to him?

K well I was going out wit this guy for 3 years almost four and we just got to tired uv each other!! And he wanted meh so badly he would call me crying and at the time I didnt care I dint even think bout it!! And I just found out his mom died!! And it just made me cry!! I regret hurting him I wish I could just be there for him!! He is taking it really hard!! And I don’t know watt to do I miss him and regret everything I did to him but now that I think out it its just too late!!! Watt can I do?
