Why is stealing wrong?

I think jazlovestoskate has got most of them. I was caught stealing recently and you can read about it if you look up my question. I would add:

1. You get caught, it is really humiliating and embarrassing to be made a prisoner of somebody else in front of a whole bunch of other people.

2. You get caught, you may get handcuffed. That was scary and kind of painful.

3. You get caught, you may have to go to jail. (More of the same.)

4. You get caught, you get punished. (I gotta pay the store a fine of $235 and I don’t know how bad my criminal sentence will be yet.)

5. You get a criminal record, I hear it’s going to be hard to get a job.

So, aside from all the moral issues, it’s wrong for yourself.

it doesnt do any good for the economy

tax payers (like your mum and dad) have to pay the government to make up for all the money lost when people steal

its a crime that usually leads to more seriouse crimes

and sealing something small often leads to bigger more expensive things

those stolen things are sold on the blackmarket to fuel other illegal crimes

the person stealing doesnt learn about the value of money, and if they steal reguarly they completely waste a life they could have otherwise spent made worthwhile

sometimes poeple who steal drag there friends into helping them, which creates even more people stealing

apart from stealing something from a store there are also other types of stealing, like internet/atm scams that steal peoples money from there bank acounts and use the money for other illegal crimes
