Why is sex becoming painful?

I have been having sex for about the last 5 months with my boyfriend and recently it has been becoming painful, sore feeling after about 20minutes. sometimes it gets so bad that I have to stop for about half an hour. Once, maybe more but only once that I know of, I noticed some swelling. Does anyone know why this happens or has had it happen or can give me a way to stop it from happening? and it isn’t an alergic reaction either.

Go see your gynecologists. This is not normal, especially since you only do it about once a week.

However if you have recently switched to the birth control pill or from one to the other it could make you more sensitive during sex and explain the pain. However I would still consult a doctor if I were you.

it depends mabe he is doin it too hard tel him to try and be a lil more gentle(and I dont think once a week is a lot)am not sure if its am allergic reaction …but its is possible cuzzz some people are alergic to condoms(some type)

More likely than not, you’re doing it too often. Take a break for a while (month or so) and then see how it goes.

Sounds like you are just doing it to long. If your having sex for hours then its time to slow down and take a break honey.
