Why Is My Sister So Unhappy ?

A few weeks ago my sisters friend that she has been friends with since she was about 3 died in a car crash and since my mom told her she has been unhappy , like she hasnt smiled , she doesnt laugh , she hardly speaks anymore and she wants to be alone all the time . I understand that if your friend died you would be upset but she has been upset for about 6 weeks now and doesnt seem to be feeling any better and I dont understand why … shes 16 btw …well 17 on the 24th of december

well I would be to. if she has lost someone she has loved of course shes not going to be in a good mood. just support. its a phase we all got through. just let her be and give her some time. shell wont get over it, but she kick out of the mood when shes ready. okay?

Because her best friend died? People dont grieve on a schedule. Sometimes it takes a while for them to get through the grieving process.

When a very close friend dies, it’s going to hurt them badly and really get to them. You can tell from her sadness that they were very close. People don’t recover from that type of sadness right away, it’s going to take her some time. The only thing you can do for her is basically being there for her.
