Why is my peircing sore?

Hey I just got my monroe peirced december 30th and today is the 3rd of january its not that bad now but it is red around the peircing and it looks like puss inside the whole around the earing and it is crusty I clean it 2 times a day with antibacterial soap I use dial and when I brush my theeth I brush the back of the earing softly is my peircing supposed to be like this?

instead of soap, use peroxcide,because dried soap can irritate it also.peroxcide will help kill off germs,and help keep you from getting an infection

Never put peroxcide on a piercing! That’s wrong.It’ll dry it out. Stop brushing the back of the jewelry. That’s what’s irritating it. You don’t need to do that. Just don’t play with it. The only time you ever touch it is when you’re cleaning it. If you want you can water down some mouthh wash and use it after you eat. Make sure it’s watered down. If it’s too strong that’ll also irritate it.

because its healing, you only just got it done, it hasnt even been a week yet its still a new wound and it will take around 3-6 months to heal the puss is a part of the healing process dont pick the crust unless its loose or youll make it worse and dont brush the piercing because that will aggrivate it use a wet cloth or wash it and if you notice a weird colour or smell go see a doctor
