Why is my MP3 Player is blinking a picture of a sand timer?

I have a Craig MP3 Player Model # CMP616F and every time I turn it on a picture of a sand timer blinks on and off on the screen. How can I fix it?

Try hooking it up to another CP with the same USP cable. It what I did.

Try plugging the USB cable to another CP. It worked for me

I have sent a nastygram to Craig. Many folks are having this problem and we just had the 3rd unit go brain dead in 4 months. The only online answer we have found that does work (sometimes) is to leave the device running until the battery completely runs out then recharge it. This replaces the dumb engineering that neglected to include a reset button. If Craigelectronics.com gets enough complaints maybe they will recall and replace these units. You can also email them at service@craigelectronics.com. The user manual is available at their site, but it was proof read by a 1st grader.
