Why is my boyfriend acting strange?

Okay. I went to the movies with my boyfriend yesterday. My sister and brother in law took us. Usually he is really nice and outgoing with me. And he usually likes to show PDA.(public display of affection). But for some reason, he barely said anything. He talked to my sister. He talked to my brother in law. Barely to me. And when we got to the movie, he was sitting beside me. And about in the middle of Avatar, I REALLY wanted to hold his hand…BADLY! And for like ten minutes I debated on weather or not to grab his hand. So finally I did. And when I grabbed it, he let out this sigh. But he let me hold it until the end. He smiled at me when my sister and brother in law were laughing at us because they thought it was cute… Well before the movie, his dad almost didnt let him go. And him and his dad aint getting along real good right now. He was mad at his dad! Im not sure if hes just mad at me or what happened with his dad. but im freakin!
