Why I can't I be with him?

So..there’s this guy right ? and he told me he loved me and all this crap. I’ve told him I liked him back. but like then I don’t like him ? I have mixed feelings for him. and he doesn’t understand. I don’t even understand. I like him when he doesn’t care for me. but when he pays attention to me, I like him and I don’t like him. I don’t get what I’m feeling. does anyone have any tips ? I guess.
