Solamon… All music is a money making thing otherwise no one would do it professionally, an I do listen to the lyrics most new stuff is a lot of crap, but in the underground it got meaning try listen to Krs-One, Atmosphere, Abstract Rude, Cunning lynguists they all got a big meaning behind every song, Now I listen to every genre there is an I’ve noticed only hip-hop an metal get blamed for thing an gets hated on by a lot of people, All I’m doing is asking why??

anything that lots of people love, lots of other people will hate thats just the way things are hip-hop is disliked by a lot of people because most of the lyrics dont make sense anymore they talk about promiscuose girls, sex, drugs, guns, fast cars, ect they use half naked girls to sell there music and because its stoped being about the music in a lot of cases …nowdays its more about the video clip many people love it but those are some reasons why people dont

I think you’ll find this has more to do with your perception of hip-hop than anyone else’s. That is to say, yes, it’s hated by some people, but no more or less than other genres of music are hated.

How many hard-core hip-hop fans listen to country music? But country-music fans don’t believe their genre of choice is being maligned. People like what they like, and people hate what they hate.
