Why havent I started my period yet, I've had discharge for 2 years?
Why havent I started my period yet, im 13, I’ve had discharge for 2 years and my boobs are tender. I am very sporty and quite muscular, I eat quite healthily and am not overweight? any help would be appreciated. thanks x
Most girls didnt start before 15 until recently. My grandmother was 16 when she started. I was 10!!! Girls are starting earlier and earlier these days. But that doesnt mean that its normal. Theory is all the hormones that are put in our food is what is causing early puberty.
Anyway, dont worry. It will happen when it is supposed to. Then you will be wondering why you even cared if it happend!! LOL! Discharge is normal for years before you start. But the breasts being tender might be a sign that you are going to start soon, or they could just be growing.
If you are TOO active that could also keep it from starting. A lot of female athletes either have delayed puberty or they stop altogether. This also isnt a good thing.
13 is still really early to be starting one’s period. Dont rush it. Worrying about it wont help either. Especially once you do start. LOL! I cant tell you how many times me or my friends are worried about being late..and that just makes it later.
the boobs being tender means they are growing, your period may not have started yet because of stress. or if you have been on the pill I don’t know lol hope I helped :)
hi there ! dont worry too much about it. People are different and get their menstruation according to their body’s readiness. I know of girls who only started menstruation at 17 ! The discharge is normal so I wouldn’t really worry. However, if you’re concerned you can visit a doctor and he or she may run some tests to see if everything is normal. But you shouldn’t worry it will come in time :)
