Why have teens stopped using condoms?

I’ve noticed most teens now days aren’t using condoms, there using the pull then pray method thinking thats an actual form of protection from pregnancy. whats happened within the past few years that reversed all the progress made towards preventing pregnancy and stds in teens?

I think its because of (I hate saying this) tv. Parents and Teachers and adults in general think that the tv now are giving us our sex ed, so they don’t bother telling us to practice safe sex. I don’t really use condoms, but that is because I am on the pill. And I know that I don’t want kids yet so I waited till I had it before I had sex.

all I can say is me and my boyfriend agrees not to have sex with out codoms my parents have no idea that I have a boyfriend let alone that we have sex but I didnt need them to tell me but dont join your friends the pull and pray never sucedes in the end my sister tried it hoy sh*t I never want to have a pregnacy scare for me I was white as a sheet the day she told me

I think that they’re having sex (some way too young) without having proper sexual education. If they understood safe sex and waited until they were actually ready, I’m sure things would be somewhat different.

I agree with simplychallenging…also I think that a lot of them think that it can’t happen to me. And then you have the girls that actually think they are physically and emotionally ready to be moms…they don’t understand the HUGE responsibility that goes along with having kids, to them they will finally get someone that loves them unconditionally and they think it’s all fun and games.
