Why dose my cockatiel keep on biting my dad ring?

My c0ckatiel keeps biting my dad ring a the ring a lot to me but how can I get him to stop I’ve tried different toy but he keeps doing it I find it a littlefunny because he’ll strech as far as he can to get it should I try buying a cheep siver ring to keep him occupied another thing is dose anyone know any thing about african greys or any websites that have every thing I need to know and trick I can teach him such as play dead

Birds in general, Tend to like shiny things. Maybe you should get him something shiny, Like a bell and put it in his cage for him to play with. I’ve had birds before, And I got them a bell to play with and they always rung the bell when they were hungry. Lol. Oooh, Or maybe like a mirror, Or just anything shiny for him to play with. Hi, He is probably obsessed with the ring because it’s shiny. Get him something else shiny to play with. :) Petco or Pet Supermarket will have shiny things for birds, such as mirrors, etc.

I had the same thing with my cockatiel, except he was more focused on the chain around my neck, he actually broke one of mine. I bought a similar chain and hung it in his cage, he loved it for a while but eventually got bored with it, still doesn’t stop him from nibbling the chain on my neck though.
