Why doesnt he like me ?

Well I have like this guy for 7 months , at the start we liked eachother and were both crazy about eachother but didnt go out and then we were friends ever since , I have told him that I like him about 3 times now and twice he has said he liked me , I catch him staring at me and when I catch him he quickly tuns away and we always spoke on the internet like we have known eachother all our lives but recently this month I have told him I liked him and all he said was what do you want me to do or say , I like someone else and that just left me well heartbroken and upset , I still like him and I really can not get over him we have a really good connection and I just dont want him to give up on it you know like just forget about it because we could really be something and actually I think he doesnt even lke someone else I think he is afraid of really admitting to himself that he likes me you know ? But I have made a fool of myslef when I told him that I liked him because my message I sent him was really meaningful to me and proberly nothing to him! what do it do ??? should I just forget about him yes but I cant I love him too much
