Why doesn't my boyfriend get hard?

Me and my boyfriend have been together for 4 months and sex is good.. He gets hard just by laying next to me but he can get soft so easily.. If we are having sex and we stop for a little he gets soft.. We’ve done it like 3 times in one day but I just don’t like that he gets soft so fast bc it makes me feel like he is not attracted to my body even though he says he’s been attracted to me the most compared to his other partners bc he always wants me. I’ve never had this problem w my other partners. Am I over reacting or is it him or is it me???

No we don’t use condoms bc he says he doesn’t like them. I’m on birth control though.. I guess I’m over reacting.. He injured his hip that day too and he said it felt ackward so maybe I’m just over reacting right???
