Why does the side of my left boob hurt?

My left boob has been hurting for a few days now and its underneath the armpit not directly under but the side of my boob basically I’ve never had sex and there is no cancer in my family at all not one person is there something wrong with me im really scared. its hurts and im staying home from school today because it hurts…whats wrong with me

Don’t panic. If there is a lump and soreness under your arm, go to the doctor. If you have redness on your breast and it continues, go to the doctor. I bought my daughter a sports bra in her sophomore year of high school. She was so anxious to wear it to basketball practice, she did so without washing it. Even though I told her to hand wash it first. She developed a redness on her left breast. 2 days later I finally got her in to be seen by her doctor and she put her into the hospital right away. She had developed a breast infection. Yes, she is fine. This is not meant to scare you. Just understand that if it continues, let your mom look at your breast, don’t be shy about it, and make her UNDERSTAND that it really is painful and you want to see a doctor. If you have no one to help you, ask to see your school nurse. Good luck to you and write again so we know you’re ok.

this happens to me too so don’t panic, it’s probably just your bra, I notice that it’s the muscle that hurts, as you move your arm around you pull the muscle and it’s sore, thats why it hurts, so no worries nothings wrong your just sore, don’t wear your bra to sleep or if your going to stay home again don’t wear a bra and ice the part that hurts, it helps, you could also take warms baths, but otherwise your fine! don’t freak yo.

It could be something as simple as an improperly fitting bra or an impending period…it could even just be that your breasts are growing again.

It could be your bra’s under wire pushing on your side. Or your boobs are growing, which can be painful!
