Why does screamo music get me calm when im mad ?

Don’t get me wrong, I listen to any other music, but I just love screamo and I dont know how or why. Not some wanna be rock shiet, hard screamo. & It calms me down when im mad, why ?

because you can relate to them, to the songs and the artist. most rock genre artists write about their life experiences and shit and thats why rock music is better. in your case hearing the songs that have shown that someone else went thru it helps

it allows you to scream at the top of your lungs without actually having to. its about saying f* you to someoone your not allowed to. its being the rebel and feeling a sense of no control and that humbles you when it all fades down

I get the same feeling sometimes. It’s probably because it blocks out everything else, and then you don’t hear the outside world. So you’re allowed to ponder.
