Why does my sims apartment life freeze?

After the opening video my sims apartment life freezes on the loading page. I have to keep doing ctrl alt delete! I had to reinstall in on my new laptop because my old laptop broke. It worked on my old laptop and I have the same now. I’m really annoyed… Please help?

Oh Im talking about sims 2… It worked on my old laptop that was the exact same laptop. Sims 3 also works fine. I have that too. And world adventures.

Computer specifications would help. Post them here or FunMail them to me. As of right now I’d be forced to guess that it’s the disc. So please provide: OS, CPU, amt of RAM, make/model of laptop.

Well, we could take it in the other direction and say that your laptop does not have capabilities to play Sims 3, because it may not even have an official graphics card, just a graphics accelerator. If you have a laptop >$700 in price, it does NOT have a graphics card, thus you are NOT able to run the game, and no further information necessary, you need a computer that’ll run it.
