Why does my pee smells like this?

I have bin taking notice of the smell of my pee.it has a sweetish smell.. I sometimes wonder if it have something to do with my amniotic fluid.. Any help on what it can be?

yes bimjob is right, go see your doctor and have him check your blood sugar.

ketoacidosis I believe can make your breath and your urine have a sweet smell.

definitely go see your doctor as women can become diabetic during pregnancy.

I do not know if this helps, but if a person is diabetic, their body gets rid of some of the excess blood sugar with the urine. Whether or not that gives it a sweet smell, I do not know. I would venture to say to you that it would be a good idea to visit a clinic or a doctor for an evaluation. Good Luck!!

When you’re pregnant, your urine can take on a different odor due to the prenatal vitamins- that’s quite common. Or for no particular reason! It’s also possible that you’re developing gestational diabetes. Have they screened you for that yet? It’s called a ‘glucose test’, and it’s usually done when you’re in your late 2nd or 3rd trimester.

Amniotic fluid has no odor unless the sac has ruptured and there is an infection. You would notice a clear dampness in your underwear. If you know your water has broken for sure, it’s important to get to the doctor, as infection can set in after about 24 hours- not good for baby or Mom.
