You have Holly Leaf Spot, also called Holly Tar Spot.

This is caused by a fungus. If caught early enough you can spray with an anti-fungal spray.

Be sure to prune the bush for good air circulation and sunlight. Also don;t water in the early morning or at night. If leaves are already falling off the bush the spray may not work. Just prune the tree to remove the spotted leaves and pick up the fallen leaves and destroy them. If many of the leaves are infected you will just have to wait until next year. Just be sure to destroy all the leaves as they fall off.

While holly leaf spot is unsightly, it is not deadly. Your holly bushes will recover as long as appropriate steps are taken to prevent the return of this holly disease.
