Why does my hair do this when straightening?

I straighten my hair occasionally (my hair is curly-wavy, and I usually LOVE to wear it curly! But rarely I straighten), and when I do, I always get it to be straight…just VERY big, dried-out-looking, wispy and rough. I use leave-in conditioner and heat protection. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

I know this is a scary concept but if you blow dry your hair don’t! This often causes your hair to dry out and look damaged. However if you absolutely have to blow dry your hair then try using a diffuser. Also try some hair products like “silk drops” they help manage fly away frizzy hair make your hair look healthy and some what tames your hair. You can also use styling cream for straight hair it does exist. Plus think about the kinds of shampoos and conditioners you put in your hair. Ask your hair stylist what are good brand’s for your hair type. I like to use Aussie or Herbal essence and they are pretty cheap.
