Why does my feline keep getting fleas?
My cat keeps getting fleas even though we keep giving her the monthly treatment for it She isnt in contact with any cats usually unless she goes to my uncles house when I stay over Which is rarely She doesnt go out and isnt in contact with any other animals So why does she getting them? My house is pretty damp and she likes to go underneath the bathtub a lot which is really damp and warm and is full of dust. Putting aside the sorry state of my house, does that have anything to do with why she keeps getting fleas?
I have sprayed most of the house with a vet prescribed treatment, and treated her with a vet prescribed treatment twice but maybe its not enough I think I need the revolution thing cheers ichibanarky :)
When you’ve got fleas they’re not just on her. The majority of the fleas arent even on her. You have to deflea the whole house.

I don’t think she’s getting the fleas from under your bathtub, but do you have carpeting anywhere in your house?
Fleas can hibernate inside carpeting for a long time, and if she picks just one up she’ll re-infest. They have also been known to hide inside baseboards, etc.
The treatment you’re using - is it vet prescribed, or is it the stuff you get at the pet store? If it’s pet-store, well, it doesn’t work that well. I recommend seeing the vet and asking for something called Revolution. What it does it renders the fleas infertile so they can’t lay any more eggs…without being able to reproduce, your entire flea population will be dead within a couple of months and you don’t have to treat the house.
