Why does my dad act like this to me?

well im no parent but your dad maybe be frustrated that his relationship might be going bad or that hes stressed with work. my advice to you is to keep trying and something will happen

Maybe something is upsetting your dad and he is taking it out on you, everyone does that. From my own personal experience I think you should talk to your dad about it or write him a note put it under his pillow and before you go to school say there’s something under your pillow. He’ll read it and have time to think about it. And when you get home you can talk about it and maybe things will turn around. PS when you talk to him about it try to be nice and calm because you don’t want to start an argument because it may become more worse than it is. Good luck

It’s kinda hard to know sitting from here. It’s possible that he thinks by criticizing you he is pushing you to do the best you can. Tell him. Tell him that it is hurtful to only hear criticisms and never hear praise when you’re doing your best. See what he has to say. I mean at the worst, all he’ll do is criticize you some more. But maybe you’ll find out why he’s doing it. And if he really hears you, maybe he’ll start to change. I mean you’ve got a lot to gain by trying it.

Something may be troubling him. Are your parents in a fight or something. If you try to impres him and it doesnt work, then stop. Ask him why he isnt impresed by what you do. Tell him you try your best and why he is so unsecure about you.
